Job Purpose:
Plans, coordinates, provides, and evaluates community health-related instructional programs and activities.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develops program content based on research and analysis of subject/population-specific data and community needs.
2. Evaluates the effectiveness of programs against measurable outcomes criteria.
3. Provides community health education and resources to a variety of populations in a variety of settings, including staff, patients, families, schools and community groups.
4. Serves as a community health resource and consultant to staff, physicians, agencies and other community health professionals.
5. May collaborate on procuring funding and resources that support program initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Required Experience: 2 years of practice experience.
Licenses/Certifications: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). BLS, NRP and FHM (AWHONN preferred).
Skills and Abilities: Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and take appropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
