The Hotel Concierge at the Steamboat Grand Hotel will be tasked with assisting our guests discover all there is to see and do in Steamboat! One year of guest service experience required.

Guests source of information on the local area - this includes travel, entertainment, restaurants, shopping and places of interest; must be able to accommodate a broad range of clientele with varied needs Suggest, sell and/or reserve services and amenities based on the needs of the guest Maintain up to date information on all sales, reservations, conversations, etc.
Project an approachable and professional image in personal appearance and concierge desk at all times Provide superior customer service and remain accessible to clientele during your shift Follow up on upcoming and recent arrivals by making contact with the guest to offer concierge services Work as hotel concierge as scheduled; answer incoming telephone calls (inquiries), email requests, and perform outbound customer service calls for the purpose of providing potential clients to Steamboat with complete vacation planning ideas Track all contacts and services provided Provide support to all Steamboat Grand Resort customers, assisting with any reservation changes, additions or issues that arise Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Other duties, as assigned Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job:
High School diploma or GED One year of previous guest services experience required Current or recent concierge experience preferred Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of the Steamboat area, activities and services Must have prior employment which included phone experience Must have communication, decision making, and interpersonal skills Must be professional, detail orientated, organized, positive and enthusiastic, self-motivated and dedicated Must be computer/Microsoft windows proficient; intermediate computer skills required Must adhere to all safety policies Springer Miller and Inntopia proficiency a plus Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Companys Service Excellence standards Physical Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age Read, write and communicate verbally in English in a clear and professional manner Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work in a busy, noisy (vocal) environment Miscellaneous information:
This is an hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay Bilingual skills a plus Position requires working holidays and weekends as needed Pursuant to county and/or state orders and company policies, every employee is required to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, wear a mask per current guidelines, self-report and call in immediately and stay home if sick and assist with sanitizing and disinfecting work areas.
Employees must follow all resort mitigation plans and protocols, which can be found posted on resort buildings and on Beekeeper The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position.
Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel.
The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporations total compensation package for employees.
Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
